It’s officially 2017. I don’t think the fact that I’m graduating in the summer has hit me quite yet. So far school has been good, although I’ve been lacking my level 4s in some classes so I already know my GPA probably won’t increase and I’m kinda disappointed in myself. I’ve been on pace on all my classes so far, because they’re not that hard. Usually the thing that makes me fall behind, once in awhile, are sports. I was very involved with the MyVoice club and Ballet Folklorico club these past couple of months. For MyVoice, we went to the city’s school district board meeting to present about our club and it was such an amazing experience. For the Ballet Folklorico, we had a Fashion Show with the Jos Dan Bridal and in return, they are making our dresses for the club, so that was exciting.
About sports, my last soccer season has definitely been great so far. Our league games just started and we won Corcoran 8-0, so that was a great way to start off league. We play Sierra Pacific next, then Strathmore and Granite, all in one week! Anddddd, it’s the last week of the semester so I guess you can say I will be stressed out, or something like that. I know that I will get my stuff done, all I’m mainly worried and stressed out about is physics. In my physics class, my group and I built a rocket. We tested it many times and we’re gonna present a powerpoint with our data and explaining how our rocket works, as well as using some of Mr. Coles’ sensors. We are all hoping it turns out good because it’s for a level 4 project for exhibition night. Another hard class is pre-cal. Although it isn’t my hardest class, I do always need a bit of extra help to understand something. I already passed my last MT for that class so I’m good with pre-cal this semester. When I first started Psychology, I thought it’d be a tough class but it honestly isn’t as bad or hard as everyone else made it seem. It’s challenging but not too hard, and I like that I literally get to learn something new every class. My plans for the second semester is to get a higher GPA for that 2nd semester than this 1st one. I know I can do it, I just need to work on my time management skills. I also plan to do swimming one last time before I leave off to college, so instead of track, I will be swimming. I’m really looking forward to the swim season because I’ve missed it so much and I only missed one year of swimming. I am also excited to be going to Disneyland with my friend in February! Anywho, a lot of things are gonna be happening this year, it’s crazy to even think about everything, but I know whatever happens, happens.

Today is November 16, 2016, and the fact that it’s already November scares me because this year really has been flying by. Its insane, because it seems like only yesterday I was starting high school and now here I am, only a month and a half before my first semester of senior year ends. We’ve already done so much, I’ve applied for all my CSU’s, and since I signed up for my early completion project, now I have to work on that, and we’ve ordered our cap and gowns! So far in my classes I’ve been on pace so that’s a good thing, except I do have a lot of homework. What I’m very excited about is my last soccer season, because I have feeling this year will be the best.
I have applied to 4 CSU’s already: CSU East Bay, Sacramento State, CSU Monterey Bay, and Cal Poly. My top choice as of now is Monterey Bay and I really hope I get accepted. I’m not so sure about when we will get to know about our admissions but I’m excited to find out what option I’ll be having. My second option is Sacramento, I don’t really like that area but they have a good Kinesiology program that interests me. I want to major in Kinesiology and work as a Physical Therapist although that isn’t a definite decision. All I know is that I want to go to college, find new opportunities that interest me and then really understand what it is that I want to do in the medical field. In my classes I’ve been doing good, but I realized I haven’t getting the level 4s I need for the REAP scholarship. In Government I have 4’s and it’s a very easy class. Then in Physics, the level 4 is a big project that I’m looking forward to, and I do find that class a bit challenging but it’s definitely fun. For 3rd period I have Advanced Art, which is very easy, except i need to finish one project that is very time consuming because it’s a 150 page flip book story! Then I have Pre-Calculus which is definitely the most challenging class I have, and the level 4s are not easy at all. I have tutoring for 6th period so I’m glad I can use that class to do work. Lastly, i have Psychology, which I thought would be the hardest class I have but it turned out to be the easiest class I have this year! The level 4s are a bit hard and I’ve done them, but I end up only scoring 3.5s which is also a good thing. One thing that I definitely am excited about is my last soccer season!!! We had a game already against Hanford West and last we lost to them 0-1, but this year we won 4-3. I have a feeling that our team will do great things this year and get to playoffs. We have so much more chemistry and a bigger bond compared to last year which was all drama. Our practices have been going smooth, with no fights and all the nonsense. We are all so excited to have an amazing season and I know that even after all the seniors have graduated, next year’s varsity team will also do great things. We have a game next week again against Monache which is a Div. II school and last year they basically smashed on us, like 12-0 so it was pretty embarrassing. This year we’re playing them again and it’s home so I hope we do better. That’s basically all that has been going on so far these couple of months. There’s a lot that I’m excited for and also scared for. This year is a rollercoaster of different emotions, but it’s mainly good. I really do love this school and I’m glad I didn’t choose to attend a different one. I can’t wait to write again and talk about everything new that will happen with the days to come. I'm really glad that I started off my senior year right, I'm on pace in all my classes. My senior schedule consists of: Government, Physics, Advanced Art, Pre-Calculus, English 12, Tutoring, and Psychology. I'm not really worried about passing any of those classes, I'm sure I will. All I'm worried about is making sure I turn in all level 4 projects and I really want to finish at least 5-6 classes with 4's. Since I'm in REAP, I'll need the 4's and 3.5's in order to gain money for the scholarship. I'm also in the CSF program so I'll need the good grades for that.
I'm very excited for many different events that'll be going on throughout my senior year. One of them being my last season in sports. I remember first trying out on the soccer team like it was only yesterday and now I'm only a couple months away from starting my last season. I love being able to play the game with my soccer sisters, they are great although we don't always get along, we're always going to be there for each other. I'm also excited about my last track season, I can't even believe I started doing track my sophomore year because I took it as a joke, then I ended up loving the track meets and the events. I started off as a long distance runner but I had some problems with it so I tried short distance and since then I've been running the 200m. My junior year I wanted to try out more events, so I tried Discus and Long Jump. I didn't enjoy throwing as much but I really liked the long jump event. I really can't wait to run my last track season as well as to play my last soccer season, I know it'll be great. Another thing I'm excited about is the senior sunrise, which I heard will be taking place next week. I'm looking forward to it because it'll be another great memory to add to my highschool list. It's crazy how fast time flies, next thing you know, I'll be at the senior sunset only a couple of days before the graduation ceremony. I'm also very, very excited for my last formal and prom. I know my date and I will have a blast, as well as me and my friends. I'm looking forward to Gradnite as well, I haven't been to Disneyland in so long, so it will be amazing, especially with all my class. Now, about my senior project well it hasn't been going so well but I'm determined to get it done as soon as possible. I have my life map done so that's okay but I need my job shadow. I actually have my job shadow next week so once i have it done I'll be working on my narrative essay that goes with the job shadow. Surprisingly I enjoyed drawing out my life map, it was such a fun experience. It took a while to finish it but I'm glad I finished it during the summer. I have many goals set in my mind for this year, and I really am determined and motivated to accomplish every single one of them. One of my top goals is to graduate with honors with CSF and with the REAP scholarship. Even if I get one, I will be more than happy. After highschool I want to attend CSUMB, its one of my top choices. I know it may not be one of the best schools but there's something about it that makes me want to go there. I want to study in the medical field and my top choice as of now is a physical therapist. I know there will be many challenges along the way, throughout and after highschool, but I have my mind set on it, and I will accomplish my goals. |
